As days goes by Windows gets laggy is it due to poor maintenance by the user or the OS is designed in such a way that the files in the OS makes the OS look laggy?

I don't think it is getting laggy. Windows 10 is designed for modern machines. Like the ones with 16 GB and 32 GB RAM. But when we make it work on older machines, the performance might not be good.

But consumers can afford or okay with 8GB why anyone need 16GB to operate an OS?

Microsoft want Windows 10 on as many devices as possible. Also, it is their last straw. So a lot of funny things are happening with Windows 10.

If you are a home user, Linux is more than enough. But for students and professionals, Linux still lacks a few tools which Windows has since ages.

Kerala govt is switching to Windows. Previously it was all Linux for schools and offices. News is that bribe must have played a part too.

They won't. Windows is paid. They will bribe the authorities a share of profit.

That is really bad, Windows in novice hands will surely end up in trouble where Linux is totally different.

They plan and hit. If offices use Windows, educational institutions has no option. What is the use of learning Linux when all the work is done in Windows.
