GIMP vs Photoshop
I know many go with Photoshop as the tool simple and clean to use. Plus you get lot of cool features in it. But GIMP is free and does many work Photoshop does. As i am using Linux i am using GIMP for basic image editing and i find it not easy as Photoshop though.

I hope people do. No need to use cracked apps. We need more tutorials though.

Yes it lags behind in tutorials. Photoshop has numerous tutorial sites and Gimp has very few :(

That is because fewer people use GIMP.

Photoshop has been in the market for long time with simple buttons and features so users are not able to switch to GIMP.

People get Photoshop for free. That is also one reason they don't use GIMP.

I have used both. Yes, GIMP is not as easy as Photoshop, even I do not understand the functionality of GIMP.

Photoshop is very easy, first time user it is little complicated when making a cut on shapes but gradually one can be master on it.

I had the free version of photoshop and then left because I do not work a lot with photos rather than vectors. One main reason is the subscription which I can not afford. And for vector, I prefer inkskape possible in future I will get more similar software.

I will definitely try again with GIMP because of its PSD file.

GIMP does not support PSD with CMYK profile. But that is going to change.

Well, I think Photoshop is clearly the superior choice in both ease of use and features.

GIMP is a good free alternative though if you cannot afford a licence...

GIMP is an alternative if you support FOSS.
